CoLiving, Norway
In today’s fast-paced world, the concept of Coliving is gaining traction as a modern housing solution that promotes community, convenience, and connectivity. Our Coliving building embraces this trend, offering residents not just a place to live, but a vibrant community experience. Central to this experience is the innovative design of shared light gardens, which redefine the traditional use of space within the building.
The senior hall itself is designed with the well-being of elderly residents in mind. It features a vertical light garden with optimal lighting conditions, enriching the environment of the library and TV room. Given that many seniors spend a significant amount of time in these areas, the light garden enhances their experience by providing a serene and uplifting atmosphere.
On the first floor, all residents have access to a communal light garden. This space, as we have observed from other projects, serves as a crucial area for socialization. It encourages interactions among residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging. This communal area is particularly important for promoting generational exchanges, benefiting individuals of all ages. Strategically located near the senior hall and integrated with the kids' playroom, it ensures that residents, from children to seniors, have a shared space to meet and engage.
A unique and disruptive feature of our Coliving space is the introduction of shared light gardens for each apartment. These gardens transform standard corridors into vibrant, multifunctional areas where residents can relax, unwind, and enhance their overall wellness. In summary, the integration of shared light gardens throughout the Coliving building not only maximizes the use of space but also creates essential hubs for relaxation and social interaction, catering to the diverse needs of our community members.
