Senior Bølgelengden, Norway

Senior Bølgelengden is currently under construction and will serve as a residence for many seniors in Oslo. Among its many rooms, two key spaces where residents are expected to spend a significant amount of time are the library and kitchen. Despite these areas having windows and a connection to a garden on the first floor, the client recognized the necessity for a backup source of natural sunlight. This consideration was driven not only by the potential benefits for this age group but also due to the long winter months in Oslo. Therefore, the strategic placement of lighting facilitated the creation of a sitting area around the lighting in the library. Similarly, for the kitchen, it allowed for the inclusion of plants and herbs, enhancing the overall environment of the room.
